Innocent Civilian Killed by KIA Insurgents and So-Called PDF Terrorists in Mohnyin Township of Kachin State

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorist groups known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing, and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 1 April 2026 at 10:30 AM, the body of a man with gunshot wounds was found near a plantation field along the roadside of the Myin Thar Village to Inn Kone Village Road in Mohnyin Township of Kachin State. When security personnel arrived at the scene to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Paw Htin (52 years old), a resident of Mine Naung Village in Mohnyin Township. According to the investigation, while the victim was at his house, a combined group of KIA insurgents and so-called PDF terrorists arrived and abducted him. The group then took him to the scene, where they opened fire on him. As a result, the victim died at the scene, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilians by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
