Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured in Attacks by Terrorists in Ywarngan and Palaw Townships

     The terrorist groups, the Committee Representing Pyidaungsu Hluttaw (CRPH) and the National Unity Government (NUG), with the aim of nationwide destruction, have formed the terrorists known as the so-called PDF. Under various pretexts, in some regions, they have been arresting, torturing and killing government servants, monks and innocent local residents, as well as engaging in armed clashes and carrying out attacks in wards and villages.

     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 23 March 2026 at 10:15 AM, a report stated that the body of a man with injuries was found at milepost 52/2 along the Ywarngan – Aungban Road near Nyaung Kone Village in Ywarngan Township of Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the scene to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Kyaw Han Thant (aka) Thar Htway (45 years old), a resident of Inn Kone Village in Ywarngan Township. According to the investigation, on 22 March 2026 at 8:30 AM, the victim left his home for Mya Zedi Village and did not return. Therefore, his family members searched for him. They later found U Kyaw Han Thant (aka) Thar Htway dead with knife injuries near Nyaung Kone Village, allegedly killed by so-called PDF terrorists, it is reported.

     Similarly, at 2:00 PM, a report stated that a man with gunshot wounds was admitted to Palaw Township in Tanintharyi Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Min Naing (52 years old), a resident of No. 5 Ward in Palaw Township. According to the investigation, at 11:30 AM, while the victim was herding cows in a field near the ward, three so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him, accusing him of being an “Informant”, resulting in him injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above-mentioned cases, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate shootings and killings of innocent civilian by armed terrorists, who intended to spread fear among the public. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
