In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 24 May 2025 at 8:50 AM, a report stated that two men and a child with shrapnel injuries were admitted to the Township Public Hospital in Pwintphyu Township of Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital for further investigation, they discovered that U Zaw Zaw Tun (46 years old), his daughter, Ma Aimt Yadanar Ko (six years old) and U Ko Ko Naing (41 years old), all residents of Than Kone Village in Salin Township, had been injured while traveling to Magway Town in a TOYOTA HIJET vehicle (License Plate No. 9P/2102) along the Salin-Pwintphyu-Minbu Road. When the vehicle reached the area between mileposts 23/4 and 23/5, near Day Da Ye Village in Pwintphyu Township, an improvised explosive device (IED) planted by a so-called PDF terrorist group, exploded on the roadside, resulting in their injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incident to take effective action in accordance with the law.
