Innocent Civilians, Including Children, Killed and Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorist Group in Madaya Township of Mandalay Region

     Terrorists committing inhumane acts have been engaging in battles, firing heavy weapons and improvised rockets and dropping bombs using drones into the residential areas, including towns, wards and villages.
     Since they are committing such terrorist acts, on 24 May 2025 at 10:30 AM, a so-called PDF terrorist group fired heavy weapons into No.2 Ward in Madaya Township, Mandalay Region. The shells exploded within the ward. As a result, Ma Aimt Hmu Paing (13 years old), a resident of the ward, died on the spot from blasts. Additionally, Daw Paw Aye (51 years old), Daw Wai Wai Lwin (40 years old), Daw Thi Thi Moe (47 years old), Ma Ywun Yadi Zaw (eight years old) and Ma Ei Mon Theint (17 years old), all residents of the ward, were injured. Moreover, five residential houses and a teaching building were destroyed by the blasts. The injured individuals; Daw Paw Aye and Ma Ei Mon Theint were transported to Mandalay Public Hospital for medical, while Daw Wai Wai Lwin, Daw Thi Thi Moe and Ma Ywun Yadi Zaw were transported to Madaya Township Public Hospital for medical treatment, it is reported.
    Due to the heinous acts of armed terrorists such as engaging in battles and firing of heavy weapons and improvised rockets within towns, wards and villages where innocent civilians peacefully reside, innocent people, including children have been killed or injured. Consequently, local residents are protesting vehemently against these acts of terrorism, completely refusing to accept them. Security personnel are intensifying necessary security measures in collaboration with the local residents, it is reported.
