In some townships across States and Regions, armed terrorists driven by a radicalized ideology that considers 'Anyone with differing views is an enemy' are carrying out violent assaults and assassinations. Their targets include civil services, administrative officials and innocent civilians who do not endorse their terrorist activities. Using firearms and knives, they accuse these individuals of being 'spies,' 'informants,' or 'decoys' to instill fear among peace-seeking civilians, causing a pervasive sense of dread within these communities.

Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 23 April, 2024 at 11:30 AM, a report stated that a man was killed by gunfire between Shwenyaung Village and Phonmathein Village in Pyay Township, Bago Region. As a result, U Win Aung died from gunshot injuries, it is reported.

Similarly, on 24 April at 7:50 AM, U Kyaw Naing Win (43 years old), who lived in Pantiechone Village, Pakokku Township, Magway Region, was having tea at the “Cherry Oo” tea shop within the village when five so-called PDF terrorists arrived and opened fire on him.
