Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Home Affairs Receives Sri Lankan Ambassador

State Administration Council Member Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Home Affairs Lt-Gen Soe Htut received Sri Lankan Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. JM Janaka Priyantha Bandara in Nay Pyi Taw on 26 May. Both sides cordially and frankly discussed and exchanged views on matters pertaining to combatting money laundering and financial support of terrorism, BIMSETC cyber security issues as Myanmar and Sri Lanka are member countries, exchange of information for the prevention and suppression of transborder criminal cases and further cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by MPF Deputy Chief Police Maj-Gen Aung Aung, Criminal and Legal Department Chief Police and Transnational Crime Department Chief Police, it is reported.
