In Certain Townships, Innocent Civilians Killed and Injured After Stepping on Improvised Explosive Devices Planted by Terrorist

In order to cause injuries to both peaceable civilians and administrative authorities who are striving to restore the rule of law, extreme terrorists provide financial assistance and instigate destructive activities, such as detonating explosive devices and remote blasting, against public roads, railways, government offices and houses.
Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 8 May 2026 at 11:35 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Minbu Township Public Hospital in Magway Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as Mg Nanda Aung (aka) Nine Nine Aung (19 years old), a resident of Lay Pin Village in Minbu Township. According to the investigation, at 8:45 AM, on the same day, while the victim was cutting firewood in a forest about five miles north of the village, he stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.
Similarly, at 1:30 PM, while Mg Zin Min Naing (12 years old), Mg Naing Min Aung (12 years old), Mg Ye Htet Zaw (11 years old) and Mg Htet Myat Min (7 years old), all residents of San Thit Village in Yesagyo Township, were present near the village cemetery about five furlongs northwest of the village, Mg Zin Min Naing stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, Mg Zin Min Naing and Mg Htet Myat Min died on the spot, while Mg Naing Min Aung and Mg Ye Htet Zaw sustained shrapnel injuries. The deceased and injured individuals were transported to Pakokku Township Public Hospital for examination and medical treatment, it is reported.
Similarly, at 2:05 PM, on the same day, a report stated that the dead body of a woman with shrapnel injuries and a child with shrapnel injuries were brought to Naungcho Township Public Hospital in Shan State. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victims were identified as Daw Kyu Kyu (46 years old) and her daughter, Ma Moe Moe Htet (12 years old), both residents of Yebyu Village in Naungcho Township. According to the investigation, at 12:30 PM, on the same day, while the victims were cleaning in their yard, Daw Kyu Kyu stepped on an improvised explosive device planted by so-called PDF terrorists. As a result, Daw Kyu Kyu died on the spot, while Ma Moe Moe Htet sustained shrapnel injuries, it is reported.
It has been reported that the security personnel are investigating the culprits of the acts of terrorism from the above incidents to take effective action in accordance with the law.
