Innocent Civilian Injured in Heavy Weapon Attack by So-Called PDF Terrorists in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region

An innocent civilian injured in a heavy weapon attack by so-called PDF terrorists in Myingyan Township of Mandalay Region.


     Terrorists are ruthlessly carrying out abductions, killings and armed attacks, using both heavy and small weapons, improvised rocket attacks on wards and villages, as well as conducting drone strikes, all with the intent to harm civilians and instill fear among the public.

    Since they are conducting such terrorist acts, on 10 May 2026 at 9:55 AM, a report stated that a man with shrapnel injuries was admitted to Mandalay Public Hospital in Chanayetharzan Township of Mandalay Region. When security personnel arrived at the hospital to conduct further investigation, the victim was identified as U Hte (83 years old), a resident of Nyaung Pin Kan Village in Myinmu Township. According to the investigation, on 9 May 2026, the victim was heading to That Kal Kyin Village in Myingyan Township to buy a cow. At 9:00 AM, on the same day, while the victim reached the road located west of That Kal Kyin Village, a heavy weapon shell fired by so-called PDF terrorists exploded nearby, resulting in his injuries, it is reported.

     According to the above mentioned case, local residents are condemning and protesting against the indiscriminate firing of heavy weapons, small arms, improvised rockets and drone attacks by dropping bombs on wards and villages. In response, security personnel, in collaboration with local residents, are intensifying security measures to identify and apprehend the terrorists responsible for the incident, it is reported.
