Local Military Units Sell Rice, Cooking Oil, Salt, Eggs, Vegetables and other Foods Items at Cheaper Prices to Cyclone Victims in Sittwe Township

With the intent to ease the living hardship of local people and departmental officials who suffered loss and damage in the aftermath of Cyclone Mocha and so that they can buy food items they want with cheaper prices, military personnel from local units under Western Command have been selling canned meats/fish/vegetable produced by Tatmadaw factories and other food items with cheaper prices at U Ottama Park in Sittwe since 21 May.

In this regard, local military personnel from Sittwe station are selling rice, cooking oil, salt, meats, fish, eggs, dairy products, vegetables, onions, garlics and canned meats and foods produced by Tatmadaw factories such as beef, bamboo shoot and peas curry, chicken-potato curry, river-catfish curry, tuna fish, fried fish-paste, butter beans, beans and egg-plants curry, mango-pickle at a cheaper price than the current price. It is reported that crowds of local people and families of departmental officials are buying the items and appreciating the program of selling items at cheaper prices.
