Security Forces Arrest Members of So-called Yangon Revolution Force – YRF, Perpetrators of Assassinating Deputy Director General of UEC U Sai Kyaw Thu together with Weapons/Ammunitions

The security force members exerted efforts round the clock to arrest the perpetrators of murdering the Deputy Director General of UEC U Kyaw Thu. In this regard, according to the information secretly tip-offed by conscientious people, security personnel managed to arrest the offender Arka Htet Kyaw (aka) Aung Thukha, who performed as watch in murdering the said victim, along with a Glock pistol, 20 rounds of 9 mm bullet at house no. (35), Zalon street, Lin Lun Myauk ward, Sanchaung township on 12 May.

According to the confession of the arrested offender Arka Htet Kyaw (aka) Aung Thukha,

· Other related offenders were further arrested: offender Ye Kyaw Pyne (aka) Maung Kyi along with a body of homemade gun, one grenade, 10 rounds of 5.56 mm bullet, 10 rounds of .380 mm bullet, five round of 12-bolt bullet, eight bullet-proof vests, two handphones and offender Nyein Maung (aka) Nyein Chan Aung along with a laptop computer, two handphones, two fake stamps of ward administrators on 12 May; another offender Pan Aye (aka) Ko Myo on 14 May and offender San La Pyae Eain (aka) Ko Shine on 16 May respectively.

· According to the confession of arrested offender Nyein Maung (aka) Nyein Chan Aung, other offenders: Zin Myo Oo (aka) Flash (aka) Tharnge; offender Soe Thu (aka) Red (aka) Kaung Wai along with one Sig Sauer pistol, 11 rounds of 9 mm bullet; and offender Min Sat (aka) Aung Thu Han were further arrested.

· According to the confession of offender Zin Myo Oo, other related offenders Chit Ko Ko and Kyaw Lwin Oo were arrested respectively.

· To sum up the case, 10 offenders in total were arrested along with two pistols, a body of homemade gun, a grenade, 56 rounds of assorted bullet, eight bullet-proof vests, two fake ward administrator stamps, a laptop and four handphones.

According to the confessions of the arrested offender, it was found out as follows –

· Soe Thu, Zin Myo Oo and Arka Htet Kyaw had attended terrorist bombing training course for one month in a jungle camp in the area of KNLA brigade (6) in April 2021 and Ye Kyaw Pyne, in a jungle camp in the area of KNLA brigade (1) in March 2021.

· With the intents to carry out terrorist acts and kill innocent civilians under the accusation of being government informant/dalan, offender Okka Lin Yan and Jame (to be arrested) as leaders organized the Yangon Revolution Force – YRF comprising 22 members in total. The members include Zin Myo Oo, Soe Thu, Min Sat, Arka Htet Kyaw, Ye Kyaw Pyne, Nyein Maung, Chit Ko Ko, Kyaw Lwin Oo and other offenders to be arrested: Soe Moe Htut (aka) Tiger, Min Hein Kyaw (aka) La Yaung, Lu Min Htway (aka) Ko Shine, Seik Phwar (aka) Ye Kyaw, Bo Mat, Nyi Nyi Naing (aka) Thanmani, Ma Lucky, Calvin, Joker, 3 P, Kyar Gyi, Saw Henry Htoo (aka) Aung La.

· The offender Jame (to be arrested) is now staying in the operational area of KNLA brigade (6). He receives cash assistance with the contact of CRPH/NUG to purchase weapons and ammunitions. He then delivered the weapons to Yangon to carry out acts of terrorism.

· The photos and information of the targeted victims were sent via Jame and the assassinator was paid for K500,000 for each murder and a person performed as watch was paid for K100,000 for each.

· The seized one Glock pistol, Sig Sauer pistol and 100 rounds of 9 mm bullet were delivered by Jame in the first week of November 2021.

Under the instructions of so-called YRF leader Okka Lin Yan and Jame (to be arrested), there had occurred eight assassination cases in which innocent civilians were killed under the accusation of being informant/dalan as follows –

· Offender Zin Myo Oo assassinated MyTel head office general manager U Thein Aung and wife Daw Theint Aung Thu, a resident of Mayangone township on 4 Novembrer 2021.

· The same offender killed an innocent civilian called U Min Thein (aka) Ashaygyi living in North Okkalapa township on 6 June 2022.

· The same offender killed the Kungyangon township, Kawdun village administrator U Nay Lin Aung on 25 June 2022.

· He also murdered an innocent civilian called U Tint Lwin in front of “Pyae Wa May” teashop on 1 July.

· He again murdered an innocent civilian called U Win Naing, a Shwepyitha resident on 3 August 2022.

· The same offender again fired pistol to a ward administrator of North Okkalapa township U Soe Soe to death on 26 October 2022. In this case, Soe Thu, Nyein Maung and Pan Aye (aka) ko Myo performed as watches.

· On 18 April 2023, three offenders including Arka Htet Kyaw and Saw Henry Htoo (aka) Aung La (to be arrested) using pistols shot a veteran U Aung Nyi Tun, other civilians U Aung Myo Swe and U Khin Maung Thein to death on 18 April 2023. In the case, Kyaw Lwin Oo, Chit Ko Ko, Ye Kyaw Pyne and Nyein Maung performed as watches.

· In the first week of April 2023, Jame sent required information to offenders about and photo of UEC Deputy Director General U Kyaw Thu and ordered them to assassinate the target. Zin Myo Oo and Soe Thu allocated their assigned duties. They then observed the regular places where U Sai Kyaw Thu used to visit when he arrived at Yangon as well as the entry/exist ways to ‘Aung Yadanar’ Specialist clinic and its vicinity where the victim’s wife works. They took time for necessary preparations.

· On 22 April, when U Sai Kyaw Thu left ‘Aung Yadanar’ Specialist clinic, offenders Zin Myo Oo and Soe Thu shot him rounds of pistol to death. In this case, offender Min Sat and offender Bo Mat (to be arrested) observed the situation as watches.

According to the confessions of the arrested offenders, it is found out that three shooting attacks and three mine-explosions were conducted under the instructions of YRF leader Okka Lin Yan and Jame as follows –

· On 28 May 2022, offender Zin Myo Oo fired pistol at the township administration office killing an innocent civilian U Win Hlaing while U Win Nyunt and U Than Tun were seriously injured.

· On 3 August 2022, other three offenders to be arrested: Kyar Gyi, Saw Henry Htoo (aka) Aung La, Bo Mat and Kyar Gyi fired two pistols at Tawlan police security outpost in Kungyangon township.

· In the fourth week of August, offender Zin Myo Oo attacked motor-vehicle police office in Hlaing township by throwing an IED at it.

· In March 2022, Zin Myo Oo threw an IED at ‘Ba Ba Gyi’ restaurant located near La Gabar clinic in North Okkalapa township.

· On 14 April, Zin Myo Oo fired pistol at the no.(3) ward administration office in Mayangon township leaving an innocent civilian Daw Kyi Khine Win dead.

· On 16 April, the same offender threw an IED at a security vehicle coming from Myayadana road of North Okkalapa township.

It is reported that harsh legal actions will be taken against the arrested offenders and entire population is requested to participate in the measures to collectively combat against those who are committing acts of terrorism and to arrest remaining related perpetrators as soon as possible.
